Installing FCmobilelife on your BlackBerry Smartphone

These instructions will step you through the installation of FCmobilelife on your BlackBerry Smartphone.

Before you install FCmobilelife on your BlackBerry Smartphone

Configuring Your BlackBerry Smartphone Device for the Correct Time Zone

You will need to ensure that your BlackBerry Smartphone device is configured in the correct time zone before installation of FCmobilelife. To do this:

  1. From the Home screen, click Options
  2. From the Options screen, click Date/Time
  3. With the Time Zone field already selected, click and and select the desired time zone
  4. Press the Menu button and choose Save to save your changes

Real Time Alerts for your BlackBerry Smartphone Device

If you want receive alerts on your phone regarding new and updated actions then you will need to configure the BlackBerry Internet Service (BIS) on the BlackBerry device. For details on the BlackBerry Internet Service please see

If you don't have BIS configured for your phone then please consult your Smartphone documentation or contact your wireless service provider for details on setting up the service.

Once you have the BIS service setup you will need to do the following to enable real time alerts:

  1. Log into the FCmobilelife Website at

    http://www.fcmobilelife.com/signin.php
  2. Click on Options on the top menu bar
  3. Choose the option to receive Alerts on your BlackBerry device, enter your BlackBerry Mobile Phone Email Address, and select the types of alert notifications that you wish to receive.
  4. Click Submit

You are now configured to receive real time notification of the chosen alerts.

Installation Procedure for BlackBerry Smartphone Devices

You can install FCmobilelife on your BlackBerry Smartphone Device "over the air" (OTA) using the browser that is part of the application set on your Smartphone.

Installation via USB cable using the BlackBerry Desktop Manager is not supported at this time.

To install FCmobilelife on a BlackBerry Smartphone device do the following:

  1. Click the Browser icon from the Home screen
  2. Press the Menu button on the BlackBerry Keypad and click Go to...
  3. If your BlackBerry Smartphone device is a Track Ball device, enter the URL

    http://fcmobilelife.com/BBTB.jad
  4. If your BlackBerry Smartphone device is a Click Wheel device, enter the URL

    http://fcmobilelife.com/BBCW.jad
  5. If you entered the URL correctly you will see Name, Version, Vendor and Size information for FCmobilelife, and you will asked to select Download or Cancel. Click Download.
  6. When the download completes you will get a message saying, "The application was successfully installed."
  7. Click OK to return to the browser
  8. To exit the Browser press the Menu button and select Close to return to the Home screen

Once the installation is complete you can run FCmobilelife on your BlackBerry Smartphone device as follows:

  1. Click the FCmobilelife icon from the Home screen

NOTE: Once installed, the FCmobilelife application will automatically update itself as new updates become available.

Removing FCmobilelife from your BlackBerry Smartphone Device

To remove the FCmobilelife application from your BlackBerry Smartphone device do the following:

  1. Click the Options icon from the Home screen
  2. Click Applications

Note: For BlackBerry® Device Software 4.1 and later, click Advanced Options and then click Applications

  1. Select the FCmobilelife application from the list and press the Menu key on your handset
  2. Select and click Delete
  3. You will be prompted to restart your device. Choose Restart to complete the removal of the application from your device
